Sense of Place

A "sense of place" can mean many things: a place where a person is not judged, a stress free environment, an object that is comforting. To me, the term means a place/object of security or belonging. My sense of place is my home.
I took an image of my house, placed it inside a clear plastic job ticket holder, and traced the house with a black permanent marker (top left). You can then take the image out and replace it with a white sheet of paper to see the silhouette only (bottom left).

I decided that the use of the ticket holder was an excellent way to show a silhouette in and out of its environment. The sense of place can be seen in two different scenario, and have to different but personal meanings.
